8.0 Reconnaissance Team
Jennifer Donahue was the team leader of the GEER expedition. Jennifer is a Project Engineer at Geosyntec Consultant and graduated with a BS in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University. She received her MS and PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley where she specialized in seismology and liquefaction analysis.
Michael Olsen is an Assistant Professor of Geomatics at Oregon State University. He graduated with a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah where he studied liquefaction hazard mapping. He received his PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego where he researched used terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) for sea cliff erosion. He also was involved with TLS for art history and cultural heritage applications. Research interests include terrestrial laser scanning, coastal geology, geotechnical earthquake engineering, and scientific visualization.
